The objective of this session is to outline the socio economic drivers of the on line economy and usages. It is intended to identify how the medium to long term evolution of the networked economy and society will influence technological, regulatory or policy requirements.
Speakers are invited to present a summary position paper through a 10mn speaking slot. The remaining time will be animated by a moderator Mr Peter O'Donnell and will provide opportunity for direct interactions with the audience.

Towards a Future Internet, Global Initiatives

The objective of this session is to present key initiatives outside of Europe whose objective is to redefine Internet/global networks and service architectures to overcome anticipated bottlenecks of today's networks deriving from the ever larger set of usages and constraints that the current Internet has to face.
